Eviction Sealing Clinic - April 13 - Moorhead Resource Center
Thank you for your interest in our Eviction Sealing Clinic. The Clinic will be on Thursday, April 13th at the Moorhead Community Resource Center, 8400 E 10th Street, Indianapolis from 3:00 to 6 pm.
Please read the following:
At the clinic, you will meet with an attorney who will fill out the paperwork necessary for your eviction to be sealed. We will give you written instructions, but it will be up to you to file the paperwork with the court and serve your previous landlord. Be aware courts may charge a $5 re-docketing fee for each eviction you are trying to get sealed. The decision to seal each eviction is ultimately up to the judge of the court in which the eviction was filed.
An Eviction cannot be expunged if you still owe money for the eviction. You can look up your case at:
Enter your case number or name to locate your case record. Then scroll to the bottom of the page and check to see make sure the Balance Due = $00.00. If there is a Balance Due, that eviction cannot be expunged. In addition, an Eviction cannot be expunged if it is still active. Unless the case shows that it has been dismissed OR there has been no action for at least 6 months, it cannot be expunged.
If you believe that your evictions can be sealed, please schedule an appointment for the Clinic:
You will need to scroll over to March 16 to make your appointment.
We may be able to handle limited walk-ins, but we cannot guarantee that you will see an attorney if you do not have an appointment. If there are no times available at the link, please check back because appointments may become available closer to the date of the clinic. If you do walk-in without an appointment, we may not be able to see you that day.
