Fighting Insurance Denials

Even with legal protections, many insurance plans will still deny medically necessary care because of ignorance, animus, or outdated myths.

You can also fight the denial on your own by:

1. Understand the reason for a denial

The letter you got from your insurance company will say why coverage was denied.

2. Appeal the denial

There is often a short amount of time to appeal denials based on medical necessity.
